Material Consequences is the latest collaboration between six designer-makers united by a thoughtful, innovative, and often playful approach to materials.
This is an opportunity to discover and buy new work direct from the designers, who met at Cockpit Arts, the creative hub located in Bloomsbury.
Material Consequences 2018 presents design innovation and beautiful materials, created in Cockpit Arts, London.
Presenting leather bags and accessories, stationery, lighting, conceptual and contemporary jewellery in both precious and non-precious materials, and distinctive hats – and of course the chance to hear the story behind the work, direct from the artists.
A narrative threads its way through this diverse collection of work – a reflection of the many techniques and processes involved in designing and making – of time and effect, material considerations and consequential discoveries.
